New Delhi: A strong heatwave is affecting many parts of India, with temperatures going close to 45°C. The weather department has also given warnings in several cities.
During this time, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia shared a simple and unusual tip to deal with the heat. He gave this advice during his visit to Shivpuri over the weekend.
At a program in Badarwas, he opened a jacket factory and also announced a big defence project worth ₹2500 crore. While speaking, he said working in such heat is not easy, but he feels good when he sweats. He also said that he does not use AC, even in his car.
To explain his tip, Scindia took out an onion from his pocket and showed it to people. He said that keeping an onion in your pocket can help protect you from heat. He called it an old traditional method and said people should not forget such practices.
He also advised people to cover their head with a cloth and carry an onion when they go outside, even if the temperature becomes very high. According to him, these simple habits can help people stay safe in the heat.
