Mumbai: Premji Invest has invested in NewEra Hospitals to help grow its hospitals in Maharashtra. The money will be used to build three new hospitals in Nagpur.
With this expansion, around 450 new beds will be added. The total number of beds will increase from 350 to 800.
NewEra Hospitals already runs two hospitals in Nagpur and one in Navi Mumbai. The hospitals treat serious illnesses like brain problems, heart disease, and organ transplants.
Experts say cities like Nagpur need more hospital beds and better medical facilities. This investment will help improve healthcare services in the region.
NewEra Hospitals was started in 2016 by Dr. Anand Sancheti, Dr. Nilesh Agrawal, and Dr. Nidheesh Mishra. They said the goal is to make good and advanced treatment available to more people.
Right now, the hospital group has more than 250 doctors and offers 30+ types of treatments. With the new hospitals, it plans to serve even more patients.
The deal was handled by Novem Advisors Private Limited.
Premji Invest is a big investment company linked to the Azim Premji Foundation, which works for social causes in India.
