Baramati: In Baramati, the by-election saw 52.44% voter turnout by 5 PM. The election was held after the sudden death of senior leader Ajit Pawar.
There are 23 candidates in the race, but no major national opposition party took part seriously. Because of this, the election is being seen as mostly one-sided. Many opposition candidates did not actively campaign.

9 AM: 8.1%
11 AM: 20.59%
1 PM: 31.91%
3 PM: 40.36%

Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar voted at a polling booth in Katewadi along with her sons, including Parth Pawar. She also visited different polling stations and spoke with voters.
MP Supriya Sule cast her vote with her family members at a polling centre in the city. Other members of the Pawar family also voted at different places.
Before voting, Sunetra Pawar visited Ajit Pawar’s memorial and paid her respects. She also took blessings from family elders.
The result will be announced on May 4. Many believe that the lower voting percentage could be due to the hot weather and lack of strong competition in the election.
