New Delhi: Indian stock markets went up sharply on Wednesday after news that the US and Iran have agreed to stop fighting for two weeks.
The BSE Sensex jumped around 2,600 points, and the Nifty 50 rose more than 700 points as soon as the market opened.
War tension reduced: The biggest reason is the ceasefire between United States and Iran. Investors felt relaxed.
Oil prices fell: Cheaper oil is good for India, so markets reacted positively.
Global markets up: Markets in other countries also went up, helping India.
Buying increased: Investors started buying shares again after many days of fear.
Almost all sectors like banking, auto, and real estate saw strong gains. Small and mid-sized stocks also moved up.
But experts say the market may still move up and down depending on future news.
