New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is currently on an official visit to Japan. He received a warm welcome in the capital city Tokyo, where he also took part in a grand roadshow.
During his speech, the Chief Minister spoke about the historical and cultural connection between India and Japan. He greeted Japan as the “land of the rising sun” and said that relations between the two countries are linked through shared traditions and values. He added that his visit aims to strengthen cooperation and explore how Uttar Pradesh can play an important role in deepening these ties.
Yogi Adityanath highlighted that Uttar Pradesh is connected to many important religious and historical sites. He mentioned places linked to Gautama Buddha, including Sarnath, Shravasti, Kapilvastu, and Kushinagar, explaining their global spiritual importance.He said these references were meaningful because Japan also shares a strong connection with Buddhist traditions. The CM noted that cultural links between India and Japan developed naturally over centuries through trade, travel, and the spread of Buddhism across Asia, creating a long-standing bond between the two nations.
