In Rich List: India Shines in Forbes 2026

This year has been very positive for business leaders. The latest Forbes World’s Billionaires 2026 list shows big changes, and India has made a strong mark.

New Delhi: This year has been very positive for business leaders. The latest Forbes World’s Billionaires 2026 list shows big changes, and India has made a strong mark.

The number of billionaires in India has increased from 205 last year to 229 this year. This means 24 new people have joined the list. Growth in the stock market and new companies getting listed helped create more wealth.

At the top, Mukesh Ambani remains India’s richest person. His company, Reliance Industries, saw a 12% rise in profit. He is also among the most powerful and richest people in Asia, with wealth close to $100 billion.

In second place is Gautam Adani, with a total wealth of $63.8 billion. Both Ambani and Adani earned about $14.7 billion together in the last year, showing their strong position in India’s business world.

Women business leaders have also done very well this year. Savitri Jindal has become the third richest person in India. She even moved ahead of Lakshmi Mittal. Her company group saw strong growth, and her wealth increased to $31 billion.

Overall, around 20 Indian women billionaires are now making their mark, showing that more women are entering and growing in business.
