Nagpur; A big political issue has started after a government letter reportedly called BJP MLA Narendra Mehta a “land mafia.” Congress leader Nana Patole shared this letter with the media, which led to a strong argument between leaders.Patole said the letter was sent on June 20, 2025, by the Revenue Department. In the letter, officials were told to check a case about unpaid stamp duty and take action within 7 days. He also claimed that the letter has the signature of Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

Bawankule replied that the letter was written only based on a complaint. He said it does not mention Mehta as an MLA and that ministers must send such complaints for checking. He also said Patole is doing politics on this issue. He assured that a proper inquiry will be done.
He added that many complaints have come earlier too, but nothing wrong has been proven against Mehta yet.Patole, however, accused Mehta of not paying stamp duty and taking tribal land. He said the words “land mafia” are clearly written in the letter. He also said he will show this letter in the Assembly.
Meanwhile, Mehta denied all the claims. He said he has done nothing wrong and has no pending dues. He called the allegations false. This issue may lead to more arguments in the Assembly in the coming days.
