New Delhi : Former Indian cricketer and 2011 World Cup star Yuvraj Singh has spoken openly about why he decided to retire from international cricket.During a podcast with tennis player Sania Mirza, Yuvraj said his retirement was not only because of injury or bad form. The main reason, he said, was that he was not treated with respect and did not feel supported.
Yuvraj explained that people often told him to enjoy the game, but towards the end of his career, cricket stopped making him happy. He said he started questioning himself about why he was playing if he was no longer enjoying it.He also shared that he felt ignored and sometimes insulted, which affected his mind. Playing cricket without happiness started causing him mental and physical stress.Yuvraj added that after he stopped playing, he quickly felt better and healthier. According to him, leaving the game helped him find peace again.
