Mumbai: As the temperature goes up, many people start having stomach problems like acidity, gas, infections, and discomfort. Summer may be fun, but it can be hard on your stomach because of heat, less water in the body, and unsafe food.
Dr. Saroj Dubey says that in summer, the body loses more water, which makes digestion weak. This can cause acidity, loose motions, and stomach infections.
She says drinking water is very important, but you should drink it slowly. Do not drink too much water at once, especially after eating. Instead, drink small amounts of water many times during the day.
Food is also very important. Eat light and simple food like curd, buttermilk, coconut water, fruits, and boiled vegetables. Avoid spicy, oily, and outside food, as it can make your stomach upset.
Dr. Bhaskar Nandi says you should also change your eating habits. Eat slowly, chew your food well, and do not eat too much at once. Avoid eating late at night.
Cleanliness is very important in summer. Always eat fresh food, wash fruits and vegetables properly, and store leftover food in the fridge quickly.
Dr. Anurag Sachan says most stomach problems in summer can be avoided with simple care. Eat home food, keep your hands clean, and stay hydrated.
He also says do not ignore small problems like gas or stomach pain, as they can become serious later.
In short, drink water properly, eat simple food, and keep everything clean to stay healthy in summer.
