Mumbai: Rohit Sharma has made a new record in the IPL. He now has the most sixes by an Indian player against one team.
He achieved this during the match against Delhi Capitals. Rohit scored 35 runs in 26 balls, hitting 5 fours and 1 six. With that six, he reached 51 sixes against Delhi.
Earlier, this record was held by MS Dhoni, who had hit 50 sixes against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Rohit was playing well and looked set for a big score, but Axar Patel got him out. The catch was taken by Nitish Rana.
In overall IPL records, Chris Gayle is still on top with 61 sixes against Punjab Kings.
This is another big achievement for Rohit Sharma in his IPL career.
