Mumbai: The Nationalist Youth Congress has started a nationwide Kalash Yatra to pay respect to late NCP leader and former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Dada Pawar. As part of this journey, his ashes will be immersed in holy rivers and religious places across India, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
This yatra is being held so that people from different parts of the country can offer their tribute to Ajit Dada Pawar. Many supporters could not reach Baramati for his last rites. Through this yatra, they will now get a chance to pay their respects.After a simple prayer at the Pawar family home in Baramati, Parth Ajit Pawar handed over the ash kalash to leaders of the Nationalist Youth Congress. He said Ajit Dada Pawar was a leader loved not only in Maharashtra but also across the country.
The yatra will begin with prayers in Delhi and will travel through more than ten states from February 4 to February 7. The first stops will be Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar and the holy Sangam in Prayagraj.Ash immersion and prayer meetings will be held at places like Varanasi, Patna, Jharkhand, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Kanyakumari. The Youth Congress said the yatra will share Ajit Dada Pawar’s work for development, farmers, and social justice. The journey is being led by Youth Congress National President Dheeraj Sharma along with party workers from across India.
