Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has shared his sadness over the death of famous singer Asha Bhosale.
He said this news is very heartbreaking and a big loss for music. After Lata Mangeshkar, another big name from the Mangeshkar family is gone.
Fadnavis said Asha Bhosale’s voice was very special and full of emotion. She could sing all types of songs easily—from soft songs like “Tora Man Darpan Kehlaye” to fun songs like “Khallas”.
He also said she sang many kinds of music like bhajans, classical, ghazals, folk, and pop. She sang more than 12,000 songs in many languages and received many big awards.
He shared a memory of meeting her recently, where she made him sing “Abhi Na Jao Chhodkar” and joked about it.
He said it is hard to believe she is no longer here. He gave his condolences to her family and fans.“Om Shanti,” he said.
