Mumbai: Marathi Language Day is celebrated every year on February 27 across Maharashtra with great pride. On this occasion, Raj Thackeray, chief of MNS, shared an important message for Marathi-speaking people. He asked everyone to work together to make the Marathi language stronger in today’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) era.
Through a social media post, Thackeray explained that data has become the most powerful resource in the digital world. He said that in the future, languages that have more online content and information will grow faster and become more influential. Therefore, Marathi speakers should create more useful and quality content in Marathi.
He suggested some simple steps for people to follow. He encouraged using Marathi more on social media in a positive way, creating blogs and podcasts to share knowledge, building online Marathi knowledge platforms, teaching AI concepts in Marathi at schools, and producing strong Marathi digital data to help technology understand the language better.
Thackeray also mentioned AI company Anthropic and its technology leader Rahul Patil. He said that while people fear job losses due to AI, the technology also offers new opportunities. According to him, Marathi people can create their own success stories by using AI wisely and spreading knowledge through their language.
He finally urged Marathi speakers to take this moment seriously and help Marathi become a powerful language in the digital future.
