New Delhi: Mamata Banerjee held a protest march in Kolkata on Monday about shortage of LPG gas cylinders.The march started from College Square and went to Dorina Crossing. Many people joined her to show support. The protest was about the problems people are facing due to less supply of cooking gas.
The Trinamool Congress also asked its workers and supporters to join the march and raise their voice.
Banerjee blamed the Government of India for not keeping enough gas in stock. She said the government should have planned better before the crisis.
She also spoke about some sudden changes in officials late at night and said it was not right. She claimed one senior woman officer was being treated unfairly.
Banerjee also criticised PM Narendra Modi and said such statements are not helpful in this situation.
She said her government will continue working and try to manage the situation.
