New Delhi: Tension in the Middle East has grown after the conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States became more serious. American and Israeli forces carried out air attacks on many important cities in Iran, including Tehran. The city has suffered heavy damage. Reports say Iran’s top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed during the attacks, which has increased anger in Iran. The country is now talking about taking revenge and has reportedly identified Israel and several other nations as targets. Protests have also started in different parts of the world after the incident.
Because of the rising tension, India’s Home Ministry has asked all states to stay alert. In a letter sent on February 28, officials warned states to be careful and prevent any possible violence. Authorities were told to keep an eye on people giving inflammatory speeches or trying to create unrest related to the international conflict.
Iran has also refused to hold discussions with the United States after the attacks. Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had shown interest in talks with Iran’s new leadership. However, senior Iranian leader Ali Larijani clearly said that Iran will not negotiate with America at this time. Reports claim several military locations, including missile bases and naval equipment, were damaged during the strikes.
Meanwhile, Indian authorities have taken safety steps after small protests were seen in Jammu and Kashmir. In Srinagar, restrictions were imposed in some areas, and the Lal Chowk region was temporarily sealed. Security near the Clock Tower was increased. Schools and colleges have been closed for two days, and university exams in Kashmir have been postponed to avoid any law-and-order problems.
