“Traditional Medicine Is an Evidence-Based Pathway to Holistic Healthcare,” Says CM Dr. Pramod Sawant
Dubai, 18 February, 2026: India reaffirmed its expanding global leadership in traditional and integrative healthcare during the valedictory function of the 3rd International AYUSH Conference & Exhibition held in Dubai, bringing together global experts, policymakers and practitioners dedicated to advancing holistic wellness.
The conference was organised by the World Ayurved Foundation in collaboration with the Science India Forum. The event was attended by Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Shri Prataprao Jadhav, senior officials, esteemed AYUSH practitioners, members of the Indian Mission in the UAE and distinguished dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said that, “The vibrant participation of global experts reaffirms that traditional systems of medicine are not merely our heritage, but an evidence-based pathway to preventive, affordable and holistic healthcare. Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India continues to lead the world in advancing integrative health.”
CM Dr. Sawant stated that Goa remains committed to this vision by strengthening research, fostering international collaboration and developing a robust wellness ecosystem. “We welcome the world to experience authentic AYUSH therapies in India, and Goa is emerging as a key destination for wellness tourism and integrative healthcare,” he added.
The conference served as an important platform for knowledge exchange, innovation and collaboration, further reinforcing India’s leadership in promoting traditional systems of medicine as a cornerstone of global healthcare.
