Mumbai: French President Emmanuel Macron spoke at the India–France Innovation Forum in Mumbai and praised India’s fast progress in technology.
He ended his speech by saying “Jai Ho” and said the world is no longer asking if India can innovate. Instead, the real question is who wants to work with India. He said France wants to work closely with India and will continue to support it.
Macron said India is becoming a world leader in technology. He pointed out that many big global companies are led by Indian-origin CEOs, showing India’s strong talent and skills. He said India is not just following others but leading the way.
Talking about defence, Macron said France is a strong and trusted partner of India. Both countries are working together on fighter jets, helicopters, submarines and advanced engines. He said this partnership is based on trust and long-term friendship, not just business deals.
He also said India and France are working together in space projects like the TRISHNA satellite. He added that both countries are also cooperating in civilian nuclear energy and other new ideas that help improve daily life.
Macron said innovation should not only be about big technology but also about making people’s lives safer, healthier and better.
His speech received loud applause, showing the strong bond between India and France.
