Deadly Blast in Tamil Nadu: 16 killed in Firecracker Factory Explosion

Deadly firecracker factory blast in Tamil Nadu kills 16; rescue and investigation ongoing.

New Delhi: A big and tragic accident has happened in Tamil Nadu, which has shocked people across the country.

The incident took place in Virudhunagar district. As per reports, at least 16 people have died after a huge explosion in a firecracker factory. Their bodies have been taken out, and it is feared that some people may still be trapped under the debris. Many injured people have been taken to nearby hospitals.

Big blast in firecracker factory

The explosion happened in a cracker unit in the Kattanarpatti area. After the blast, fire spread to four nearby units, making the situation worse. The blast was very strong and also damaged nearby buildings.

Fire brigade, police, and rescue teams quickly reached the spot. They are removing debris and trying to rescue trapped workers. The area has been closed, and security has been increased.

Rescue work going on

The exact cause of the blast is not yet known. But it is believed that safety rules may not have been followed properly. Officials have ordered an inquiry. Rescue work is still going on, and the situation is being watched closely.
