Mumbai: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has given an important warning to its customers. The bank may close some accounts from April 16.
These are the accounts that have not been used for the last 3 years and have zero balance. If your account is like this, you should take action quickly.
The last date to activate such accounts is April 15. If you do not activate your account before this date, the bank can close it without any notice.
PNB had already shared this update on its official social media in March.
How to Activate Your Account
It is very easy to activate your account again. You just need to visit your nearest PNB branch.
There, complete your KYC (Know Your Customer) process or do a simple transaction. This will make your account active again.
Why Is PNB Doing This?
The bank is doing this to reduce fraud risk. Inactive accounts with no money can be misused, so the bank is closing such accounts for safety.
If you have any problem, you can contact your nearest bank branch.
