Mumbai: CM Devendra Fadnavis spoke in Assembly about the plane accident of former Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. The matter came into focus after Rohit Pawar filed a Zero FIR in Karnataka. He said that proper action was not taken in Maharashtra, so the case was filed there.
Fadnavis said a Zero FIR is used only when a victim cannot go to the right police station. In such cases, any police station can take the complaint first. But he said that in this case, Karnataka had no right to file such an FIR.
Fadnavis said there was no reason for the Maharashtra government to stop any FIR. He also said his relation with Ajit Pawar has been good for many years.
He accused Karnataka of doing this for political reasons and to defame Maharashtra.
Strict Warning
Fadnavis assured that if there is any foul play in the accident, strict action will be taken. He said clearly that no one will be spared.
He also said that if someone wants an FIR, they can go to court, and the court can order the police to file it.
