Sirmaur: A serious road accident has happened in Himachal Pradesh. A private bus went off the road and fell about 100 metres into a deep valley near Haripurdhar in Sirmaur district. Thirteen people lost their lives in this accident, including a six-month-old baby and the bus driver.
Around 32 passengers were hurt. They were taken to Nahan Medical College for treatment. Some of the badly injured were later moved to Solan hospital. Reports say nearly 45 people wereBREAKING: Private Bus Falls 100 Metres in Himachal Valley travelling in the bus.
The bus was going from Kupvi in Shimla district towards Haripurdhar. When it reached a sharp turn near Renukaji, the driver lost control and the bus slipped into the gorge. The bus was badly broken after the fall.
People from nearby villages quickly reached the spot and helped pull out the injured. The scene was chaotic as rescue work went on. The injured were first taken to the local Haripurdhar hospital, but due to limited facilities, they were sent to bigger hospitals.
District officials confirmed the deaths. It is also being said that the bus owner’s son and daughter were among those injured.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Transport Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur expressed sadness over the incident. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri visited Nahan Medical College to meet the injured.
The accident has once again raised questions about road safety and health facilities in the hill areas of Himachal Pradesh.
