New Delhi: A big LPG gas tanker MT Nanda Devi has reached Vadinar port in Jamnagar, Gujarat with 46,500 metric tonnes of gas.
The process of unloading the gas has started. The gas is being moved from the big ship to another ship at sea. This method helps deliver gas faster.
This ship came through the Strait of Hormuz, which is a risky route because of tensions in that area. Still, the ship reached safely.
Port officials, including Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh, visited the ship and met the captain and crew.
Earlier, another tanker also reached Gujarat with gas. These shipments will help increase LPG supply in India.
Officials say this will make gas more easily available for people in the coming days.
