New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list of nine candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. One of the key names in the list is party president Nitin Naveen, who has been nominated from Bihar. His selection is being seen as an important political decision ahead of the elections.Elections will be held for a total of 37 Rajya Sabha seats as the terms of several members are ending. From Bihar, the party has nominated Nitin Naveen and Shivesh Kumar. From Assam, Terash Gowala and Jagin Mohan have been selected. Lakshmi Verma has been named from Chhattisgarh. In addition, Sanjay Bhatia has been nominated from Haryana, Rahul Sinha from West Bengal, and Manmohan Samal and Sujit Kumar from Odisha.The distribution of candidates shows the party’s effort to strengthen its position in different states.
