New Delhi: In Bihar, a major political change is expected soon. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may resign from his post on April 14. A new Chief Minister is likely to take oath the next day, April 15, at 11 AM.
Before resigning, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold a meeting at 2 PM to choose its leader in the state assembly. This leader is expected to become the next Chief Minister. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be present as an observer.
Later, leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will meet and support the new leader.
After stepping down, Nitish Kumar will meet the Governor and submit his resignation. Then, the NDA will officially claim to form the new government.
The oath ceremony will be held in Patna, and preparations have already started.
Meanwhile, leaders of Janata Dal (United) (JDU) also met to discuss their role in the new government and possible key positions.
