Nagpur: Chandrashekhar Bawankule met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi to talk about problems in the Kamptee Cantonment area of Nagpur district.
In the meeting, Bawankule spoke about the common issues people are facing, like poor basic facilities, road problems, and delays in services. He also suggested that this area should be included in Yerkheda Nagar Panchayat so that work can be done faster and people can get better services.
He said that if the area comes under a local municipal body, it will become easier to manage development work and solve daily problems of residents.
Reports say that in many parts of India, the government is planning to shift civilian areas from cantonment boards to local authorities to improve facilities and administration.
This meeting is an important step to improve living conditions of people in the Kamptee Cantonment area.
