Nagpur: In a major step toward advanced healthcare, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has announced that the Government Medical College and Hospital in Nagpur will soon become the first government hospital in India to operate with three surgical robots.
This hospital has long been a lifeline for poor and middle-class patients. Now, the state government is working to upgrade it with modern technology and bring the best medical facilities under one roof.
Recently, the hospital introduced its first robotic surgery system. Over the next two years, two more advanced robots will be added. With all three robots in use, doctors will be able to perform more precise and advanced surgeries, improving treatment quality and patient safety.
Bawankule assured that the government is committed to making top-level healthcare accessible to everyone, especially those who cannot afford expensive private hospitals.t
