New Delhi: As tension grows in West Asia due to the conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, the Central Government of India has taken a serious step by calling a meeting of all political parties in New Delhi.
The meeting is being led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The main aim is to understand how this international situation can affect India, especially fuel supply, daily services and prices.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has formed special teams to keep a close watch on the situation. These teams will track fuel availability, gas supply and other important needs, and guide the government if any action is required.
In the meeting, leaders are talking about rising oil prices, possible increase in inflation, safety of Indians living abroad and how trade may be affected.
Many top leaders are present, including Amit Shah, J. P. Nadda, S. Jaishankar and Hardeep Singh Puri.
However, the Trinamool Congress did not attend the meeting. Its leader Sougata Roy said the party has political differences with the BJP. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also did not attend as he is busy with a program in Kerala, but he has raised concerns about the government’s foreign policy.
The government is closely watching the situation and may take steps soon to protect India from any major impact.r
