New Delhi: Amid rising tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran, the conflict in the Middle East is now affecting the entire world. Many countries are beginning to face concerns about fuel shortages as the situation continues to worsen.
In this difficult time, India’s long-time partner, Russia, has stepped forward to offer support. Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Denis Manturov, has proposed increasing the supply of oil and natural gas to India.
During his visit to New Delhi, Manturov met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. The leaders discussed strengthening cooperation in key sectors such as energy, fertilizers, trade, and connectivity.
Prime Minister Modi shared details of the meeting on social media, saying that both countries are working together to improve relations and implement decisions taken during the recent India-Russia summit held during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The discussions also included global and regional issues, especially the ongoing conflict in West Asia. This move by Russia is seen as an important step to ensure India’s energy security during uncertain times.
