New Delhi: After recent changes in power in Nepal, the government has started strict action against corruption.
Former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak have been arrested. After this, new Prime Minister Balen Shah has started a big drive against corruption.
About 7 former Prime Ministers and more than 100 ministers are now under investigation. The government is checking their money and property.
Reports say that a special team has been formed to look into the assets of leaders and top officials who were in power between 2005 and 2025.
This decision was taken in a cabinet meeting on April 15 led by Prime Minister Balen Shah. The government says it wants to stop corruption and bring honesty in the system.
