Mumbai: A meeting of leaders from the western suburbs of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena was held in Mumbai. Party office bearers from areas between Dahisar and Bandra attended the meeting. It took place at a banquet hall in Goregaon West. Party chief Raj Thackeray was present and spoke to the leaders.
During the meeting, Raj Thackeray was not happy with the work of some party members. He said he wants to see what work has actually been done at the local level. He also told the leaders that he receives updates about party activities and will check everything carefully.
He also spoke to women leaders in the party. Raj Thackeray asked what new work they are doing for women, apart from traditional events like Haldi-Kumkum programmes. He said the party should do more useful work for people.Raj Thackeray also asked all leaders to work harder to strengthen the party. They discussed membership drives, public contact and future party programmes. He clearly warned that slow or careless work will not be accepted and leaders must become more active.
