New Delhi: Tensions in the world are rising as Israel faces criticism from many countries during the ongoing Iran–US conflict.
On April 18, 2026, foreign ministers from several Islamic countries released a joint statement in Doha. They strongly opposed Israel’s decision to appoint a diplomatic representative in Somalia. They said this step goes against Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and borders.
About 16 countries—including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Bangladesh, Algeria, Turkey, Pakistan, Jordan, Oman, and Mauritania—have taken a clear stand against Israel. They warned that this move could create more problems in the region and affect peace.
These countries also said that Israel’s decision breaks the rules of the African Union. They showed full support for Somalia and said they will not accept this appointment.
Leaders also accused Israel of interfering in Somalia’s internal matters, especially in Somaliland. They called the move one-sided and unacceptable. They asked the global community to respect Somalia’s independence.
This issue has created more pressure on Israel at a time when tensions between Iran and the United States are already high. Some people also claim that the US attacked Iran because of Israel, but there is no official confirmation yet.
Now, many are waiting to see how Israel will respond to this situation.
