Mumbai: Maharashtra MLA Rohit Pawar has once again questioned the plane crash that killed former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. He said there are still many unanswered questions about the accident and the truth should come out as soon as possible.
Rohit Pawar is currently in Delhi meeting aviation experts and former officials to understand what may have caused the crash. He believes the investigation is moving slowly. Because of this, he has reportedly decided to take help from private experts to study the case separately.
It has been nearly three weeks since the accident, but the DGCA has not released its first report yet. Rohit Pawar has asked the authorities to share the report quickly and also check if the charter company followed all safety rules. He said strict action should be taken if any mistake is found.
The accident happened on January 28 when Ajit Pawar was flying to Baramati for election work. The plane took off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai in the morning. Before landing, the aircraft crashed near the runway and caught fire. Ajit Pawar and four others on board died in the crash. The investigation is still going on, but clear answers are yet to come.
