Mumbai: A new report by India’s aviation authority has brought fresh attention to the plane crash that killed Maharashtra leader Ajit Pawar. After the report became public, MLA Rohit Pawar shared his reaction on social media.
The accident took place on January 28 when Ajit Pawar was flying from Mumbai to Baramati for election campaign programs. The aircraft crashed near the runway while landing. At first, bad weather was said to be the main reason for the accident, but the latest findings suggest there may have been safety issues.

The audit was conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Officials found problems in aircraft operated by a private aviation company and said some safety rules were not properly followed. Because of this, several planes were stopped from flying until further checks are completed.
After the report, Rohit Pawar said he had already raised questions about the company’s safety standards many times. He claimed the company was not following important rules and was operating aircraft in an unsafe way. He also said that although action has now been taken, more information may come out in the coming days.
The report has increased doubts and discussions about the real cause of the crash. Authorities are continuing their investigation to understand what exactly led to the tragic incident.
