Mumbai: In Mumbai, Rohit Pawar spoke to the media and made serious claims about the plane crash that killed former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. He said the crash may not have been an accident and raised questions about the pilot and the flight company.
According to Rohit Pawar, the visibility in Baramati was low on the day of the crash. Even though the weather was not clear, the pilot, Captain Sumit Kapoor, still tried to land the plane. Instead of turning back, he attempted to bring the aircraft down. Rohit Pawar alleged that the pilot may have crashed the plane on purpose.
He also questioned why the plane was carrying so much fuel. He said that flying from Mumbai to Baramati does not require a large amount of fuel. However, the fuel tanks were completely filled. There were around 3,000 to 3,500 litres of fuel in the aircraft. He also claimed that extra fuel cans were kept near the toilet area inside the plane. He suggested that more fuel could cause a bigger explosion.
Rohit Pawar further said that proper visibility required for landing is about 5,000 meters, but at that time it was only around 3,500 meters in Baramati. He also mentioned that visibility was low even when the flight took off from Mumbai. Despite this, permission was given for the flight. He said this increases suspicion about the crash.
He also made allegations against the flight service company VSR. He claimed that there may have been changes made in the flight plan. According to him, some important documents are not being handed over quickly, and there could be attempts to alter records. He asked investigators to check the emails and flight details carefully.Rohit Pawar said a detailed and fair investigation is necessary to find out the truth behind the crash.
