Jalandhar: Fear has spread in Punjab after two blasts happened within one day. After an explosion near the BSF office in Jalandhar, another blast took place late at night in Amritsar.
The second blast happened around 10:50 pm near the Khasa army area in Amritsar. This place is about 15 km from the Attari-Wagah border.
Police officer Aditya S. Waryer said a loud sound was heard in the area. Early reports say that an unknown person may have thrown a grenade from a motorcycle.
After the blast, army and police teams quickly reached the spot and closed the area. Bomb squad teams are checking the place.
After these two incidents, security has been increased across Punjab, and a high alert has been announced. Police are trying to find the people behind the attack.
