Mumbai: A new system has been started at Nalasopara railway station to manage the large crowd of passengers. The Railway Protection Force and Maharashtra Security Force have launched this plan on a trial basis to make travel safer and more organized.
Every day, especially during morning rush hours, thousands of people gather on the platform to board local trains. Because of heavy rush, many passengers try to enter the train before others get down. This creates confusion, pushing, and sometimes fights among commuters.
Under the new plan, passengers are asked to stand in proper queues before boarding the train. Security staff guide people and make sure that passengers inside the train get enough space to step down first. After that, people in the queue are allowed to board one by one.Officials say this system can reduce crowd pressure and prevent dangerous travel near train doors. The experiment has started during peak hours in the morning, and authorities will decide later whether to continue it permanently based on passengers’ response.
