Mumbai: After the IPL match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Wankhede Stadium, a shocking incident came to light.
On March 30, a man linked to the BCCI was found dead at the Trident Hotel near Marine Drive in Mumbai. His name was William Legnford. He worked as a broadcast engineer and had come to Mumbai for IPL matches.
He was staying in Room 2715 of the hotel from March 24. On March 30 morning, the hotel staff called him, but he did not answer. Later, staff opened his room using a master key. They found him lying inside. Doctors were called, but he was declared dead.
Police Start Investigation
The case has been reported to Marine Drive Police. Police have started an investigation. The reason for his death is not known yet. More details will come after medical reports.
