Mumbai: Lucknow Super Giants had a bad start to IPL 2026 as they lost their first match to Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets in Lucknow.
Lucknow batted first but could score only 142 runs, which is a low total in T20 matches. Delhi also started badly while chasing and lost 4 wickets for just 26 runs. At that moment, Lucknow looked in control.
But Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs changed the game completely. They made a strong partnership of 119 runs and took the match away from Lucknow. Rizvi scored 70 runs not out, while Stubbs added 39 runs not out. Delhi chased the target easily in 17.1 overs.
