New Delhi: Conflict between Israel and Iran, with support from the United States, has been going on for over three weeks and is getting more serious. Because of this, many countries are facing problems with fuel and energy.
The impact is already visible in Pakistan where prices are rising fast. In India too, gas cylinder prices have increased, and there are worries that petrol and diesel could become more expensive.
India Starts Plan B
To avoid any shortage, the Indian government has started a backup plan. Officials say people do not need to panic, as steps are being taken to keep fuel supply steady.
India is now buying more oil from Russia and also using different routes to bring fuel into the country. Recently, a large oil shipment arrived at Mundra Port. In the past few weeks, multiple ships carrying oil and gas have reached India.
No Immediate Shortage
Even though the Strait of Hormuz is affected, India is managing supplies through other ways.
The government says the country has enough oil stock for now. India uses about 5.5 million barrels of oil every day, and officials are confident that there will be no shortage in the near future.
