Nagpur: Weather in Maharashtra has been very uneven over the past few days. Some places are facing strong heat, while others are getting sudden rain. Because of this, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned people to stay careful for the next two days.
In the Vidarbha region, light rain and strong winds are expected. This may give a short break from heat, but from May 8, temperatures may rise again and can go up to 45°C.
In Gondia district, sudden rain with strong winds has already hit many areas. This may damage crops like paddy, mango, and vegetables that are ready for harvest.
Farmers in Bhandara district are also worried. Crops that were almost ready are getting affected again due to rain and wind. Earlier rain had already caused losses.
In Hingoli, sudden light rain created problems for fruit and vegetable sellers.
Meanwhile, in Nandurbar district, unexpected rain disturbed daily life. Crops kept in fields may get spoiled, but new plants may get some benefit.
People are advised to stay alert as weather conditions may change quickly.
