Nagpur: Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has created controversy after speaking at an event in Nagpur.
He said that people should have four children and “give one son” to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He made this statement during a program held near the National Cancer Institute.
The event was organized by Dr. Abaji Thatte Seva and Research Institute. Many important people were present, including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
This is not the first time Shastri has said this. Earlier also, he asked Hindu families to have more children. He said it is important to protect culture and society.
After his latest statement, many people reacted. Some people supported him, saying he is talking about culture. Others criticized him and said such statements are not right in a country like India where many communities live together.
The issue is now being discussed widely on social media and in political circles.
