Mumbai: Ladki Bahin Scheme in Maharashtra continues to gain strong popularity among women, as it provides monthly financial support of 1500 to eligible beneficiaries.
Now, the state government has taken an important new decision regarding this scheme. Let’s understand what it means.
The government has decided to release the February 2026 installment of ₹1500 very soon. For this, the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department has approved the transfer of ₹277 crore to the Women and Child Development Department. Because of this move, the amount is likely to be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts within the next few days.
Earlier, the January installment was distributed on February 23, and now the February payment is expected shortly.
As per the scheme rules, women are eligible only if their family’s annual income is below ₹2.5 lakh. During the e-KYC process, some applicants had selected incorrect details. To fix this, the government had given time until March 31, 2026.
Now, only a few days are left. Women who have not corrected their e-KYC details should complete it quickly using a mobile phone or computer. If they fail to do so, they may lose the benefits of the scheme.
