Nagpur: A unique tribute was given to Mata Ramabai on her birth anniversary. She is remembered for her strong support and sacrifices that helped Dr. B. R. Ambedkar study abroad and work for social change.To honor her, a saree worth ₹39 crore was specially made. The saree is fully gold-coated and weighs about two kilos of gold. Expensive diamonds worth ₹33 crore have been used to decorate it.
Diamonds have also been placed on the forehead area of the saree, showing respect and devotion to Mata Ramabai.This special tribute was created by Rohit Pisal, who is known as the “Golden Man.” He made it as a mark of respect and in memory of his mother.
The saree will be shown in different parts of India for a month. After that, it will be taken to London for display, giving international recognition to Mata Ramabai’s contribution.
