Mumbai: A fire broke out on Friday morning in a tall residential building in Gokuldham area of Mumbai. The fire started on the 9th floor of the 45-storey DB Wood building on Krishna Vatika Road.
The incident happened around 9 am. Smoke was seen coming out of one of the flats, which created panic among residents. Many people quickly moved out of their homes and gathered in safe areas inside the building.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade reached the spot soon after getting the call. Firefighters used water hoses and the building’s fire system to control the flames. Officials said it was a Level-1 fire, which means the fire was small and under control.
No injuries or deaths were reported in the incident. Ambulance teams and police were also present at the spot as a safety measure.
According to early information, the fire may have started due to an electrical short circuit, but the exact reason is still being checked.
After some time, the fire was completely brought under control. Authorities are now making sure everything is safe before residents return to normal life.
