Mumbai: There were reports claiming that Devendra Fadnavis met Uddhav Thackeray secretly at 2 AM. This news quickly created a buzz in Maharashtra politics, and many people started guessing the reason behind the meeting.
When asked about it in Nashik, Chief Minister Fadnavis clearly denied the claim. He said that if he ever needs to meet Uddhav Thackeray, there is no reason to do it secretly. According to him, such meetings can happen openly, and there is nothing to hide.
He also made it clear that no such midnight meeting took place. Fadnavis added that some people are spreading false news on purpose. He warned that strict action will be taken and notices will be sent to those responsible for sharing such misleading information.
Earlier, Sanjay Raut had avoided commenting on the issue and said only the two leaders could speak about it, which added to the suspense.
The rumor had raised questions about possible political discussions, especially with upcoming elections in mind. However, Fadnavis has now confirmed that the claim is completely false.
