Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a new working committee for its Mumbai unit. The list was declared on Thursday by Mumbai BJP president Amit Satam. This announcement comes a few days after the party revealed the names of its state-level office bearers.
In the new Mumbai team, Kiran Shelar, Ravi Raja, Abhijit Samant, Pankaj Yadav and Amarjit Mishra have been made vice presidents. Rajesh Shirwadkar, Pawan Tripathi, Shweta Parulekar and Vinod Shelar have been given the role of general secretaries. Kirit Bansali will work as treasurer, while Deepak Singh has been appointed president of the BJP’s youth wing in Mumbai.
The party has also chosen new spokespersons for the Mumbai unit. Aniket Nikam, son of senior lawyer Ujjwal Nikam, has been given this responsibility. Along with him, Niranjan Shetty, Ajay Singh and Sumita Singh have also been appointed as spokespersons.
Earlier, the BJP had also announced several important appointments at the state level in Maharashtra. Navnath Ban has been made the chief spokesperson of the party. Leaders like Atul Kalasekar, Bharati Pawar, Sanjay Korge, Sanjay Bhende, Ramdas Kadam, Keshav Upadhye, Gopichand Padalkar, Priya Shinde, Sujay Vikhe Patil and Archana Patil Chakurkar have been appointed as state vice presidents.
The party also named Niranjan Davkhare, Sanjay Kute, Madhavi Naik, Rajesh Pandey, Sunil Rane and Yogesh Sagar as general secretaries. Krishna Mahadik will lead the BJP Youth Wing in the state, while Chitra Wagh will head the Mahila Morcha and Yogesh Tilekar will lead the OBC Morcha.
