New Delhi: The plane crash that killed former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar has raised many doubts. Leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party say the truth about the incident must come out. They have asked for a detailed probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation to check whether it was a normal accident or something else.
NCP MLA Rohit Pawar said the party wants a clear and open investigation. He also questioned the report of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and claimed that the company linked to the aircraft may have connections with officials in the Civil Aviation Ministry.
To take the matter forward, Rohit Pawar has been meeting senior leaders in Delhi with the support of MP Supriya Sule. They spoke with opposition leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge and asked them to support the demand for a transparent probe in Parliament.
Rohit Pawar also met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi. During the meeting, he suggested that important projects near Pune, such as the Pune Ring Road and some new highways, should be named after Ajit Pawar. Gadkari said there is an official process for such decisions and asked them to follow the required steps.
Later, Rohit Pawar also met senior lawyer and Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi at the Supreme Court. He shared some documents about the crash and discussed possible legal action to make sure the investigation is fair and transparent.
