New Delhi: After the Bengal election win, the central government has made a new plan. In a meeting led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they talked about “Vande Mataram”.
The government wants to give “Vande Mataram” the same respect as the national anthem Jana Gana Mana.
They may also change a law to protect it. If someone insults “Vande Mataram”, they can face punishment. This may include a fine or even jail up to 3 years.
“Vande Mataram” is already India’s national song. It was written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee.
This plan is not final yet. It will need approval before it becomes a law. More details will come soon.
