Mumbai: Actor Rakesh Bedi is facing criticism after an old video of him came back online. In the video, he is talking about B. R. Ambedkar and his work for poor and backward communities. While speaking, Bedi used the word “Harijan,” which is now considered wrong and not acceptable.

The video was shared by Kailash Jaiswar, and after that, many people started criticizing Bedi. They said that the word he used should not be spoken today.
Kailash Jaiswar also spoke to Rakesh Bedi on the phone and explained why the word is not okay anymore. He asked him to say sorry in public.
After the issue became big, Rakesh Bedi shared a video and apologized. He said he did not know that the word is banned and he used it with good intention. He also said sorry to anyone who felt hurt because of his words.
