New Delhi: A very sad incident happened in Delhi, where a big fire broke out after an air conditioner exploded. In this accident, 9 people lost their lives.
The fire started early Sunday morning in a building in Vivek Vihar. People in the area got scared as the fire spread quickly. Reports say the blast happened on the second floor, and soon the whole building caught fire.
After getting the call, 14 fire engines reached the spot. Firefighters worked for about two and a half hours and finally controlled the fire around 6:25 AM. But by then, a lot of damage had already happened.
So far, 9 bodies have been found. Around 4 to 6 people are badly burned and are being treated in hospital. Some of them are in serious condition.
Firefighters and police also rescued around 14 to 20 people safely from the building. At first, there were fears that some people were still trapped, but police said no one is left inside now.
The blast was very loud, and the fire spread very fast in just a few minutes. This incident has shocked everyone, especially because a similar fire had happened in the city a few days ago.
Officials are now checking how the fire started and what went wrong.
